About TryMyUI

TryMyUI is a usability testing service provider that provides third-party testing for business owners, web developers, and app creators. Sites and apps need to be tested to improve the user experience of their audience. And to get objective feedback, TryMyUI hires usability testers to perform the tests as per the clients’ requirements and instructions.

The tests give clients a solid idea of what users experience with their websites in real-life. From the testing process, clients get to know the strengths of their websites and what needs more work or modifications. With TryMyUI, the tests are unmoderated. This means testers get a more natural feel of how the website or app works from their home setting, without the pressure of a boss or client breathing down your neck. As a result, testers are likely to provide honest-to-goodness feedback about their experience with the website.

If you’re looking for something productive to do during your spare time, and make some money on the process, then working for TryMyUI might be a good fit for you.

How to Apply to TryMyUI: Requirements and Application Process

Unlike other work-from-home opportunities that stress strongly on experience and hard skills, TryMyUI has a more lenient set of requirements. To get testing jobs from TryMyUI, you must be:

  • Able to follow instructions down to a T. Every client has unique instructions, and it’s essential to stay focused on them while doing the test.
  • Verbalize your observations and instructions properly. Clients need to know precisely and honestly how your experience while the test, and it’s important that your speech is not just audible but also sensible.
  • Write a comprehensive summary of the test.

TryMyUI sign-up is easy and free. Simply sign up as a tester on their website, fill-up the form with personal information, and set up your account with an email address and password. It is important to remember that your TryMyUI email account and PayPal account are the same.

Next, you will be prompted to fill up a registration which consists mainly of your demographic profile. You’ll also need to indicate the internet-abled devices that you own.

After registration, you will receive an email from TryMyUI asking you to verify your email.

Doing the test

If TryMyUI deems that you are a qualified tester, you will be invited to do a test. Keep in mind that you will not be paid for the test, whether you pass it. Anyway, this will be a good

practice run as to how you do the free trial is almost similar to doing the paid ones.

To do the test, you have to download the TryMyUI recorder, which captures your screen and voice. You will also receive a link to the instructions for the test. While testing the website, make sure to speak clearly, detailing every impression you have.

If you pass the qualifying test, you should be able to start receiving testing gigs via email.

TryMyUI Review: How Testing For TryMyUI Works

Assuming that you’re ready to take the paid tests, you should keep an eye on your email because TryMyUI will send eligible test offers that fit your demographic profile. These tests are on a first-come-first-served basis, so make sure to confirm right away to get the gig.

There may be times when you don’t receive test offers. This will all depend on the suitability of your demographic profile to the available tests. TryMyUI tries to match the tests accordingly. For instance, if a client wants a tester who has pets and you have none, then you’ll most likely won’t receive alerts for such tests.

Once you get a test offer, you would do the same process as you did with the TryMyUI qualification test. First, you would need to have the recorder software ready. You will readily see the instructions once you open the software, and all you have to do is test the website as indicated in the instructions.

TryMyUI Pay Potential

As with all kinds of jobs, you’d want to know how much money you could make testing for TryMyUI. The company has openly disclosed that the testers get a flat rate of $10 per test. Each test runs approximately 20 minutes.

The tricky thing here is that the client will have to approve your test. If you fail to follow the instructions or if the client was unsatisfied with your work in one way or another, you would lose the $10. Also, 20 minutes is for doing the test alone. After the test, you would still have to write a report. That means you probably have to spend 30-40 minutes to complete each test.

Payments are paid through PayPal only, so ensure that you have an active PayPal account before you sign up. Payments are released every Friday.

If you think the earning potential from TryMyUI doesn’t quite meet your needs, you can learn how to make $100 a day instead. Or, you could try enrolling at free courses for online jobs so you can find other well-paying options.

TryMyUI Review: Is TryMyUI Legit?

I always try to warn people to stay vigilant about potential work-from-home jobs that they’d like to go into, and this one is no exception. So, the question bids: is TryMyUI legit?

Based on my research and resources I’ve found over the web, there’s no question about TryMyUI’s legitimacy. It is a real company that provides real testing jobs. It also pays on time every Friday. The company’s profile can also be found in the BBB database, although it is not yet BBB-accredited.

TryMYUI Reviews: Feedback from Real Testers

In my effort to make this TryMyUI as comprehensive and balanced as possible, I scoured through the web and tried to find TryMyUI tester reviews.

I’ve found that testers have been frustrated about landing gig from TryMyUI. According to pattituesday on Reddit, someone else always gets the test first as she’s answering the screening questions. She also had one test that was not paid due to a tiny error.

Apart from tests being “stolen” from them by other testers, some people also complain about TryMyUI’s rating system. According to Chanterelle613, the staff first goes over the test and either accepts and rejects it. Unfortunately, the client could still reject the test even if the staff has already approved and rated it. Apparently, she commented about the client’s prototype, and the client was hurt or embarrassed. She ended up not getting paid for the test.

As for clients, I’ve found on Capterra that they’re happy with the flexibility of the TryMyUI pricing plans. Some clients also raved about the company’s services and its ability to provide valuable data to improve their websites.

TryMyUI Review: Is TryMyUI Worth It?

If you’re looking for an easy job that can make you $10 here and there, sure, TryMyUI might be worth the shot. It is, after all, a legit company that pays on time.

But it also depends on your financial goals. Making random ten bucks every once in a while hardly qualifies for a reliable side hustle. There’s no set number of tests that you could do each day or week, so it’s hard to predict your earning potential. If you are looking for more reliable side hustle options, I’d suggest looking into best stay at home mom jobs that pay well.

There you have it, my TryMyUI review. Hopefully, this has helped you decide whether to give TryMyUI or not. If you do, make sure to set realistic expectations when it comes to workload and income.
